With Stelfast’s second ISO/TS QC lab based in Ohio, the Quality Assurance
Manager has no slow days. He is responsible for implementing and
maintaining the ISO and TS quality programs by authoring policies, procedures, and work constructions. He is charged daily with establishing checks and balances on the in-place programs for quality and parts inspection. All problems and complaints come directly from the customer or from branches or from the sales department to him. And it doesn’t stop there. Through internal audits, Stelfast® proactively seeks process errors that can be corrected.

Quality is a critical link in the Continuous Chain...

Under the QC manager’s leadership, the company, as an importer, distributor,
and manufacturer, established controls and processes to promote the quality
of product coming out of the manufacturing process. The progression of procedures, policies, and work constructions coincided with the company’s evolution into automotive sales, so they became QS9000. From QS9000, Stelfast® has now progressed into ISO and TS registration. The ISO/TS 16949 certification benefits both the industrial and automotive sides of Stelfast’s businesses. Whether customers are familiar with TS certification or not, what they do recognize and appreciate is that they’re getting quality fasteners and a quality shipment.
